I would like to suggest two improvements to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) that would significantly enhance access management and data security within projects.
1 - Temporary Folder Permissions
- Ability to grant a user temporary access to a specific folder (or set of folders) with a predefined expiration date.
- Once the expiration date is reached, the access would be automatically revoked without the need for manual removal.
- This is different from “sharing” as the user would remain inside my hub, preserving project context and tracking, while allowing controlled access to historical or specific project data.
2 - Consolidated User Permission View
- A tool/panel that displays all folders and files a specific user has access to, without having to manually check folder-by-folder.
- This would make permission audits, security reviews, and team management much faster and more efficient.
Expected Benefits:
- Greater control and security over project data access.
- Reduced risk of prolonged or unintended access.
- Significant time savings in permission audits and reviews.
- Improved traceability and governance over sensitive data.
I believe these improvements would be valuable not only for my workflow, but also for many other ACC users managing projects of different sizes and scopes.
