Hi all,
While creating a new review, there are currently only two options for setting the number of key reviewers who must review a step in the workflow. These two options are: either every key reviewer must approve the step, or a minimum number of key reviewers must be set. However, if you're using roles for key reviewers and have multiple people assigned to the same role, the current setup for defining the minimal number of key reviewers becomes quite inefficient.
For example, I may select two roles as key reviewers, and during the workflow, I add more people with the same key reviewer role. If the option is set so that every key reviewer must approve the step, then everyone would need to approve, which would be inefficient. On the other hand, if only the minimal number of key reviewers is set, it remains fixed, regardless of the number of key reviewers, and doesn’t account for the difference in their numbers.
My suggestion is to add a third option, alongside the two existing ones, that reflects the varying number of key reviewers. For example, this could be a percentage or another system with specific rules that would proportionally adjust the minimum number of reviewers. For instance, if there are initially 4 key reviewers, the minimum number would be set to 2. But if the number of key reviewers increases (let´s say 10 more people are added), the minimal number of approving key reviewers would increase proportionally - like to 7 or so, depending on the adjust logic set.
I believe this additional option would enhance the effectiveness of this tool.
Thanks for your attention to this matter 🙂
