Enable direct integration of external data dictionaries into ACC Build
It would be extremely valuable if ACC Build (and other ACC modules) offered an administrative interface where project administrators could connect external databases or company data dictionaries directly.
These external datasets could then serve as controlled value lists for attributes in Assets, Issues, RFIs, and other objects. For example, an owner’s standardized classification codes or terminology could be enforced automatically in ACC, ensuring data consistency and alignment with company standards.
Why it matters:
Eliminates the need for custom middleware or manual synchronization.
Guarantees data quality and compliance with corporate standards.
Saves time for contractors and project participants by offering predefined, authoritative values.
Improves interoperability across projects and stakeholders.
In short: Allow ACC administrators to link external dictionaries directly, so users select only valid values from those sources when entering data. This would dramatically increase data consistency and make ACC a true “single source of truth” aligned with company standards.
