Enable Daily (End-of-Day) Federated Model Publishing in Autodesk Construction Cloud

Enable Daily (End-of-Day) Federated Model Publishing in Autodesk Construction Cloud

Problem
Many project teams need a reliable end-of-day “federated model refresh” in ACC so coordination, clash detection, and downstream stakeholders are always working from a current baseline. Today, Design Collaboration publish scheduling is effectively limited to weekly publishing (one publish schedule cadence per model/team), which prevents standard daily model publishing workflows and forces manual workarounds.

Proposed Enhancement
Add a Daily Publish option (and ideally more flexible scheduling) for cloud workshared Revit models / team packages so teams can automatically publish updated models to ACC at the end of each workday.

Requested Capabilities

Daily schedule option for “Schedule publish” (minimum requirement).

End-of-day time controls (per project timezone), e.g., publish at 6:00 PM local time.

Per-model scheduling with a clear status/log (success, skipped—no changes, failed with reason).

Batch scheduling (select multiple models and apply the same EOD publish schedule).

Optional but highly valuable: multiple times per day or custom cron-like schedules for high-velocity projects.

Why This Matters (Value)

Predictable daily baseline for Model Coordination, field review, and owner/CM consumption—less “stale model” risk and fewer coordination surprises.

Reduced manual overhead (no more relying on one person to remember to publish) and fewer missed publishes before key meetings.

Better audit trail: daily published versions create a clean record of progress and decisions over time.

Improves collaboration cadence: weekly gating slows coordination between meetings and drives parallel shadow CDEs/workarounds.

Acceptance Criteria (What “Done” Looks Like)

Admins can set a Daily publish schedule for eligible models in ACC (same place “Schedule publish” exists today).

Schedule runs automatically, publishes only when changes exist (or clearly reports “no changes”).

A publish history panel shows timestamps and outcomes.

Works consistently across typical multi-discipline Revit cloud models used for federation and coordination.
