Change the status in each step is good. But could be better whether the responsible for each step could send back to the initiator each document with problem (rejected) and not the only the complete package. Today we have only the option to send back complete and not partial package. We can gain time with this option, because could be possible advance the right parts while the other things can be fixed. No needed waiting all docs arrive in the last step and only after that return to initiator. I'm not talking about 10 files inside a review, I'm talking in more than hundred docs inside one review.
