Problem Statement:
In the current Autodesk Build Forms, we plan to use them to submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs). However, to ensure standardized and precise data collection, we need the ability to use dropdown fields with conditional logic. At present, Forms don't support dynamic dropdowns where the second dropdown auto-populates based on the selection in the first.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce multi-level conditional dropdown fields in Autodesk Build Forms. This enhancement would allow form creators to define a parent-child relationship between dropdowns, where the selection in one field determines the options available in the next.
Example Use Case:
Dropdown 1 (Category): Concrete Works, Earthworks, Structural Steel, etc.
Dropdown 2 (Sub-category):
If "Concrete Works" is selected → Show "Formwork", "Rebar", "Pouring", etc.
If "Earthworks" is selected → Show "Excavation", "Backfilling", "Compaction", etc.
Benefits:
Reduces manual entry and error in WIRs and similar forms.
Ensures consistent data structure across inspections.
Speeds up form completion and review.
Enhances data analytics by structuring input categories.
