We use ACC Autodesk Docs and Files for housing all CAD documents. I want the functionality in Docs to mark the exact version of a dwg used in the IFA set of drawings or in the IFC set of drawings. If there was a manual way in the version history window to mark the file "V2" as the IFA version then I can easily go back when I save the file 15x down the road and can compare "V40" to the IFA version. This could be an attribute or could be a comments column to make notes on the version that was saved. Comments could be multi-use to state the version OR just describe what changed and comments to other designers. I've tried modifying other attributes in Files but they don't stick with the version itself, it sticks with the overall file, which wouldn't be the right functionality. In our workflow, we don't utilize Transmittals, Reviews, or other ACC features. I'd like this to be within Files and easy for the designer or engineer to view dwg versions that have been used in IFA or IFC issued drawings.
