Combine Company and Role

Combine Company and Role

For the assignment of permissions and also for other modules (e.g. workflows), it would be very useful to link the role and the company. For example with an AND filter.
We currently create the following in complex projects where we use ACC workflows for approvals or where some tasks should not be seen by certain roles (competitors):

“Company1 | Foreman”, ‘Company1 | Fitter’, ”Company1 | Project manager”
“Company2 | Foreman”, ‘Company2 | Fitter’, ”Company2 | Project manager”

In projects with over 150 users and 20 companies, this is almost impossible to handle and the automations can no longer be used efficiently.

If there was a way to assign the authorizations or tasks as follows, that would be a huge relief.

“Company1” AND ‘Fitter’ or ‘Company2’ AND ”Foreman and project manager”

This would also make it easier to create the workflows in the templates and use them without post-processing and each user would only have one role (unless they really have several roles in the project) and one company. Now many of our users have up to 8 roles per trade, so that, for example, a project manager sees or is notified of the fitter's tasks, but a fitter does not see the project manager's tasks. (In addition to the idea of hierarchical roles: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/acc-ideas/make-roles-hierarchical/idi-p/13116528)

Title: Enhance Autodesk Build & ProEst Integration with Automatic Project Manager©

Content:
We are highly impressed with Autodesk Construction Cloud’s suite of tools, particularly ProEst and Autodesk Build, and believe our Automatic Project Manager© program is the perfect complement to these products. Our tool bridges a critical gap by providing advanced document generation and project tracking capabilities that streamline construction management workflows.

How It Aligns with ProEst and Autodesk Build

  1. ProEst Integration:
    • The Automatic Project Manager© seamlessly utilizes ProEst’s output, specifically the Schedule of Values (SOV), as its setup input. This eliminates the most time-consuming manual input traditionally required by our program, making the integration effortless and efficient.
    • During development, a ProEst user successfully used the Automatic Project Manager© to streamline project tracking and essential document generation, highlighting the synergy between our tool and ProEst.
  2. Complementing Autodesk Build:
    • While Autodesk Build offers robust project management, our program adds unique functionality by automatically generating essential documents, including:
      • Work Schedules
      • Gantt/Pert Chart
      • Payment Applications and Retainage Summaries
      • Subcontractor Payouts
      • Change Orders
      • Punch Lists and Completion Certificates
      • ROI and Profit Pickup Tracking

Benefits for Autodesk Construction Cloud Users

  • Time Savings: Automation reduces administrative burden, enabling contractors to focus on project execution.
  • Cost Efficiency: Tracks and optimizes ROI, ensuring budget and profit objectives are met.
  • Enhanced Functionality: Fills a gap in document generation and tracking, offering features currently unavailable in the Autodesk Build ecosystem.

By integrating the Automatic Project Manager© with ProEst and Autodesk Build, Autodesk can provide users with an even more powerful, end-to-end solution for managing construction projects.

We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Autodesk and further explore how our program can enhance the value of Autodesk Construction Cloud for contractors worldwide.

We face similar Issue once you start bringing several companies to a single source of truth. Also Combining the fact that Initiator/Key reviewers/Approvers Should meet certaing requirements. Some of this funtionality is available when Selecting members at Reviews. But Only can select existing users, rather than being rules based.
