Budget Amounts in Change Order Tools

A recent release in the Cost Management added budget amounts to the Change Order tools when selecting budgets- this way when you are selecting a budget you can see how much money is remaining in the budget. Currently it shows Revised Budget less Actual Cost. Can we change this to be Revised Budget minus projected cost?  This way we are moving money around based on what we think we will spend instead of what have spent.

Hi Tim, fair request. However we use the budget picker in multiple views.

In the Expenses view, (which i assume are actually populated via integration) but is an area where the picker is used, would you expect to see minus projected cost or minus actual cost?

I would assume the latter so wondering if we need a setting or show different values based on context?

Hi @ian_turner -  You are correct in that our expenses are populated via an integration, but I could see other users wanting a few different things with this. I would go with the minus cost option so that we can see how much money is available on a line when coding an invoice.  Another option to consider for the expenses screen is to keep it to costs only- I would see value in showing actual cost minus final projected cost so you can see how much money you have left based on how much you think you were going to spend.
