Problem:
The current Advanced Search requires a typed keyword before showing results. This creates friction when users do not know the names of subcontractors to search for. Additionally, filtering by company type is limited, which results in mixed results that include owners, suppliers or other company types instead of only subcontractors. These limitations make it difficult to identify and expand subcontractor relationships for upcoming bids.
Proposed Solution:
Enable browsing subcontractors by filters alone, without requiring a keyword. Key improvements would include:
Allowing company type filters (subcontractor, supplier, GC, etc.)
Supporting location, trade, and other filters without a text input
Displaying a clean list view of subcontractors that match the filters without typed keywords
This would streamline outreach, support relationship-building, and improve efficiency when preparing for bids.
