Automated workflow to add Assets to a schedule or workplan

The possibility to add assets to Tasks in a workplan is a great feature. However, there is currently no way to automatically add assets to workplan tasks.

 

The current, manual workflow for each asset is:

  1. Click on a task,
  2. click "Edit Tasks",
  3. click "References",
  4. click "Add references",
  5. click "Assets",
  6. search for the asset by name,
  7. click "Add assets".

This effort per asset is way too high to efficiently use the workplan-asset relationship in an ACC project with 1000s of assets.

 

Any way to automate the workflow of adding assets to workplan tasks would help: through XLSX import, through APIs, or any other way.

This way, customers with 1000s of assets in their ACC projects could begin to use the "Workplan" functionality efficiently.
