Autodesk Takeoff - Enable Move-by-Vertex and Snap-to-Takeoff for Existing Takeoff Objects

Autodesk Takeoff - Enable Move-by-Vertex and Snap-to-Takeoff for Existing Takeoff Objects

In Autodesk Takeoff, once a takeoff object is placed, there’s no way to move it by selecting a specific vertex and snapping it to another point. The only option is to move the entire object manually, which prevents precise alignment — especially when trying to connect to an existing takeoff (e.g., adjacent paving, curb lines, or slab edges).

We need the ability to:

  • Grab and move a takeoff object using a selected vertex

  • Snap that vertex to another takeoff's endpoint or edge

  • Maintain alignment accuracy across multiple scopes without relying on guesswork or re-tracing

Right now, users are forced to “eyeball” it or explode and rebuild geometry manually, which is inefficient and error-prone.

Please add support for move-by-vertex + snap-to-takeoff editing.
