Today we create title-block modules based on an existing sheet stamp and read document attributes from that title-block so those attributes can be exported with the files. However, when uploading files to the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Common Data Environment (CDE) the metadata fields still need to be filled manually (or by post-upload scripts), which is time-consuming and error-prone, especially for batch uploads.
Proposed functionality
Add an option during file upload to automatically extract title-block attributes from supported file types (e.g., DWG, RVT sheets, PDF exports) and map those attributes to ACC document metadata fields (filename templates, revision, discipline, sheet number, document title, author, etc.). The feature should run during the upload process (single and bulk uploads) and offer mapping rules and previews so users can confirm or adjust before finalizing the upload.
