When we are mapping our model to assets we've uncovered an unfortunate limitation with the naming of the asset.
Currently we use 3 parameters to concatenate our equipment (for very good reason).
Equipment Identifier, Equipment Location, Equipment Number
i.e AHU-01-01
This allows us to gain more control of our filters when viewing and scheduling.
Generally the Identifier is a "type" parameter and the others being instance.
Unfortunately you cannot add more than 1 parameter to the name. The "workaround" is to export it from revit and reimport it as a spreadsheet but we would like to overcome this by allowing multiple parameters to be used.
These parameters are on all our equipment, fittings, ducts, pipes etc and are consistent amongst every family we use.
