Allow all project members to view permissions in FILES

On ACC Build and DOCS, only Project Admins are able to view and edit the permission levels associated with each role for each folder and sub-folder.

In our projects, we have a complex folder structure with several project members.  It would assist us if all project members were able to view the permission levels associated with each role for each folder and sub-folder on ACC Build and DOCS.

Yes, allowing all project members to view the permissions in the Files tool would be very helpful.

On our projects we often have members from our team complaining that certain other members cannot see a new folder or are unable to take certain actions (e.g. upload or rename files, create more sub-folders, etc.).  This occurs because they are unable to see the permissions granted.  Allowing all project members to see the permissions would solve this issue.

If you want that...change their permission to Manage and then they can see the permissions and edit.

@heather.almendares Thank you for your comment. We are aware of the Manage permissions on ACC. However, we do not want all project members to be able to have Manage permissions. We only want project members to be able to view the permissions levels associated with each role.

For example, when project members create sub-folders, it would be useful for them to see which roles can see that folder.

There is folder permissions excel report you can export and share to show which permissions are applied. Export - folder permissions. 

We definitely would not want to share permission settings with anyone. As GC we manage our project and permission on it.

I am in agreement with @aishwariyad. It would be nice to have the option to allow all project members to see permissions within the Files tool.  It is tedious to check a separate Excel file each time a member wants to see the permissions.

However, I think this should be an optional.  I understand there are projects where general members should not know what the permissions are.
