Allow adding of project logo image to an ACC project

Very basic, but the ability to easily update the project image needs to be implemented. In lieu of another way to communicate to the whole team what the Revit year is (aside from file name), we use the project logo. The current workaround is ridiculous or doesn't work .

We have successfully used the workaround for the past two years to get the project image to appear in ACC. However, it didn't work now for the latest project set up in June 2024. The project image does display in BIM360 but it is not displaying in ACC now for some unknown reason. We have retried the workaround numerous times on this project but to no avail. We have followed the workaround the same way for the past 100 projects and the image always displayed in both BIM360 and ACC once it was uploaded. Now we won't know until we set up our next project again whether the workaround has stopped working completely or is this a one off failure.

I agree with the original poster here that by now it should be incorporated into the ACC project setup when setting a project up in ACC. It shouldn't be necessary to have to go back through BIM360 to get a project image uploaded on the projects set up in ACC.

So say a newer company has never used BIM360 and so they have no BIM360 project to use in the workaround, if they are new to ACC they only have projects set up in ACC, does this mean they can't get the project images onto their ACC projects at all as they wouldn't be able to use the workaround using BIM360 I assume.

Either way our request would be can the solution be brought into ACC as part of the initial project creation.

This issue is dragging on for many years now. It's ridiculous. It is such a basic function.

Like the TO, we use the project image to communicate the Revit version to the team. The BIM360 workaround ceased to work for us as well. At least for the moment. So, currently there is no way to add a picture anymore.

Update - the BIM360 workaround has worked again for our latest project setups. We were also able to go back and upload the image logos for all of the past projects it had not worked for.

The BIM360 workaround is also not working for us anymore. I must be honest, it's a little bit annoying. I agree that this should have been incorporated into the ACC system a long time already. Our company is paying allot of money for this service, so we expect these things to work.

What is the workaround? i dont see an option to update an image for an existing project whatso ever!

BIM360 workaround:

- Log into ACC and go to Account Admin

- in the menu on the left-hand side select BIM 360 admin and then Settings on the right

Matthias_Gurgel_0-1743021077755.png

- a new window opens and takes you to admin.b360.autodesk.com

- select Companies at the top

- in the Company Directory type the name of your company into the search bar and select it. This takes you to the company profile page

- on this page, select projects and find the project you want to add a picture to in the list.

- select the project and go to Profile.

There you can click the project image placeholder to the left and upload your project profile pic.

This workaround is currently functional again for us. For how long, no-one knows.

And yes, it's ridiculous and cumbersome.

It is shocking that the option to add a project image is not available on ACC. As mentioned by others on this thread, it is such a basic feature. We should not have to use another 'workaround' in order to add an image. Please address this issue in the next release.

Thank you in advance.

Chaps, a shorter way of getting to the project profile of an ACC project on BIM 360 is to copy the project ID from ACC (from the web browser address) , open any BIM 360 project profile page and replace the BIM 360 project ID with the ACC project ID.

True, I asked the support team yesterday about the same issue, and they provided the same workaround to me, it worked but I was trying to figure it out from so long, and it seemed such a basic feature, but still ACC doesn't have direct option to add project picture. Hopefully they add the feature in the near future.

Yes, it is ridiculous there ar so many hoops to jump through to get a logo on a project.

Furthermore: it should be posible to set up a default logo in a project template.

Thanks for sharing your idea. Our Product teams are taking a look and will update a status here when we know more.

The workaround doesn't work for us, and we don't even have any project in BIM360 to do the other workaround workflow described here:

Cannot add a project logo image to an ACC/BIM 360 project

How long do we have to wait for such a simple thing (that let me remember you: we had already!)... Autodesk needs to stop breaking stuff that is working...

Currently, project logos aren’t yet supported directly in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). However, there is a workaround where you can access the project’s profile page in BIM 360 Project Admin (using a specific URL method) and update the logo there. It’s also possible to use the BIM 360 public API, which remains forward-compatible with ACC.

While there’s no confirmed timeline for native logo support in ACC, it’s a capability the admin team will consider for future prioritization.

Ofcourse there is a workaround..... but that is just what it is: a workaround with a very tedious workflow.
As BIM360 itself is to be depreciated in the near future, this kind of caveats should be adressed.

Hi@jonminick ,

Most people are likely aware of this workaround. However, I don't feel it being appropriate for a company like Autodesk to leave a widely asked for feature unaddressed for such a long time. ACC was launched in late 2019. We're now in late 2025. This thread alone is more than one and a half year old.

Users here are not asking for the Revit kernel to be redeveloped but for an amendment to a web portal.

Unfortunately, my feeling is, BIM 360 will be retired one day without the thumbnail feature being available in ACC.

This workaround is no workaround for any new company that doesn't have any legacy project in BIM360, like us. So fix this... I don't see why it's so dificult to bring back something that was already there in the first place. It's not like it will have a huge remake of the feature to make it diferent...
