Add Toggle Between Project North and True North in ACC Viewer

Category:

Model Viewer / Coordination
Description:
The ACC model viewer currently aligns the ViewCube and section views to True North only, regardless of the model’s Project North orientation in Revit. This creates major workflow friction on coordination projects where Project North is the operative working orientation.
Almost all design teams model in Project North to maintain orthographic working conditions, sheet placement, and consistent sectioning behavior. When the ACC viewer ignores Project North:

Section boxes become difficult to control because they're rotated relative to working geometry.
Measurements and alignments feel off-axis and unintuitive.
Multi‑model coordination views are harder to navigate when linked models use different rotations.
The viewer experience becomes inconsistent with Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, and standard coordination practices.

Requested Feature:
Add an in‑viewer toggle:

Project North
True North

This toggle should realign:

ViewCube orientation
Section box axes
Saved view orientations
Measurement tools

Why this matters:

Greatly improves usability for MEP routing, clash triage, and section‑based review.
Reduces orientation confusion for reviewers.
Aligns ACC with how nearly all BIM teams author and navigate models.
Eliminates need for workarounds (custom “fake home view”, custom rotated source views, aligning objects manually).

Impact:
High — affects all Revit-based ACC projects using Model Coordination, especially when multi-discipline links are involved.
Optional Autodesk references:

ViewCube defaults to True North in ACC viewer.
ACC does not currently recognize Project North; feature is under consideration.
