Add Members Permission without Project Admin

Add Members Permission without Project Admin

It would be nice if we are able to give a specific role or individuals the permission to add members to a project without being a full admin. We foresee many instances where we would want someone assigned to managing a project to be able to add new members to the project, but want to avoid giving full admin access to that project. This would allow us to isolate these permissions and have a better workflow for adding people to projects where their involvement is needed based on the current status of the project.

Absolutely, this is necessary.   Additionally, perhaps it could be broken down more.  If a user is in the system, they can be added with their default role.  If they are not in the system or need a role change, we have a standard practice to be followed and and Admin handles that.

@dgsnider that's a great idea! I think having the permission to add members, adjust roles, and remove members (I think add and remove should be separate to keep it granular) would be a great option to allow account admins/project admins to distribute work more effectively without having to give access to everything.

We're structural engineers. For most projects, our clients (architects) are the project host. As our team changes and grows, it becomes bothersome to have to manage who has access to which project. As policy, we ask the client to add our entire drafting department along with whichever engineers will be working on a project, but for projects that last years there have been times when we've had new hires or interns who we want to hop on when close to the deadline and don't have access - that limits our options. It would be nice if we could add permissions to our own folder (and even check permissions, as there have been times when a user was missed). Also, being able to see/confirm the Revit version on the website (like the Project Admin can) would be nice.
