ACC Security concerns

Dear Autodesk Team,

Our organization enforces strict security measures, including SSO and 2FA, to protect sensitive project data. However, we frequently collaborate with external consultants who use standard Autodesk accounts, and we currently have no way to verify whether these accounts meet similar security standards.

This creates a potential risk: organizations that take extra steps to secure their environments cannot confirm if external collaborators have done the same. To address this, we would like Autodesk to consider providing:

  1. Transparency Features

    • Ability for project administrators to view whether external users have enabled 2FA or are using SSO.
    • Security compliance indicators within user profiles or project dashboards.
  2. Administrative Controls

    • Options to enforce 2FA or SSO for all collaborators at the project or account level.
    • API or reporting tools to flag accounts that do not meet required security settings.

These capabilities would help us maintain compliance, reduce risk, and ensure that all parties working on shared projects adhere to the same security standards.

Could you let us know if these features exist today or if they are on your roadmap? We would be happy to provide additional feedback or participate in discussions to help shape these enhancements.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Requiring another company to follow your security standards may be a slippery slope if you are not always the prime. A better solution since you cannot really enforce what other companies do is bridge from your subs or the prime into your ACC.
