In the case for all files on ACC, attributes need to be added manually (or custom APIs developed). For drawings, and specifically PDFs related to drawing titleblock such as revisions, dates, names, drawing titles etc can be updated using the OCR feature.
This currently workflow relys on the Engineer/Checker to markup the PDF, the drafter backdraft it, reprint the PDF and re-upload the PDF and re-extract the attributes with OCR.
ACC would become significantly more powerful if the titleblock information in Revit, dwg etc could automatically be updated by updating the attributes in ACC and PDFs automatically reprinted.
This could be combined in ACC Review workflows also, to update the revision, digital signitures, and automatically printing PDF files - taking on similar features that Vault or Projectwise already has.
