Unable to see Raster Images when opening a Revit File in ACC File Viewer

I'm using Autodesk Construction Cloud in order to work with Revit Workshared Cloud Models; some Sheets have Raster Images in it, however they disappear when I Publish the Model.

I tried to look around in the Forum, and there are really few clues of how to solve the problem (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/images-on-bim360-not-showing-up-on-revit-she... https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/bim-360-support/raster-images-published-from-revit-published-sets-to-... ), so, I would know if someone knows what is happening.

I did some tests, and you can see the results in the attached screenshoot:

  • JPG files are the very problem: no matter how you use them (as Link, as Import, in a Drafting View, in a Sheet View), you will never be able to see them in the ACC File Viewer
  • You can use PNG files, but only if you Import them directly in the Sheet View: if you Import or Link in a Drafting View, you will not able to see them in the ACC File Viewer

Apparently there is no difference between a Local Path or an ACC Path

We have also struggled with this issue. I made the decision based on @ToanDN 's suggestion to use only IMPORTS on ACC. This has definitely helped. The file sizes will appear bigger. Try to keep the image dimensions / dpi to a reasonable level to combat this. We are able to schedule images from Type Image parameter or the Image (instance) parameter and things seem fine. I have not noticed a difference between JPG and PNG. But I could be mistaken.

Hi @curtisridenour ,

I see that ToanDN wrote tons of contributions, so I'm not able to find the related suggestion: could you share the link in order to give a read? Meanwhile, I'll double check if I was wrong about the difference between JPG and PNG

It was in regards to Etransmit but the logic is sound for ACC and publishing sheets.

Hi all,

Finally I had time to run the Ultimate Test: as @curtisridenour wrote, the best choice in order to have a proper Visualization in the ACC File Viewer, is to Import References, no matter if they are PNG, JPG, or PDF. Here the results, where I tested what could happen when I Import or Link something into a Sheet View, Legend, Drafting View, and Plan View

Why is Autodesk so difficult? When trying to do finish and lighting schedules, you think this would be a basic functionality...
