Tracking Issues

Hello,

We are trying to use the "Issues" feature in ACC to track coordination items between team members. I am having a hard time understanding how to track issues realistically. Our work flow is currently:

-Somebody finds an issue, marks in in ACC and Assigns team members to the issue.

-Team members will leave comments to ask further questions.

I am having a hard time tracking when comments are left. It seems the sorting feature for issues doesn't include a way to see when the 'conversation' is updated. Am I misusing the tool? It seems like an obvious thing that should be included so everybody can keep track of ongoing discussions.

Thanks,

Aaron

I use the issue status for this. eg:
I create an issue, set it OPEN, and allocate it to your Role.
You, or your delegate regularly checks for OPEN or PENDING issues. You see my issue and respond with a comment that the issue is not in your scope to address and set the issue to IN REVIEW
In my company, the person who raised the issue is responsible for follow up. I have delegated this task to a junior engineer in my team, they routinely check my IN REVIEW issues and notice that you have responded and have declined to take any action. Which they draw to my attention.
To avoid the back and forth, I send you a Teams invite, including a few others to clarify the scope.
At the end of the teams meeting, I put our agreement as a comment, then either CLOSE the issue, or set it to PENDING if we have agreed that you will take further action.
After you have taken the agreed action, you will put the issue back to IN REVIEW.
I' or my junior engineer will confirm you have completed the agreed action & CLOSE the issue.

The attached is a draft of the above in flowchart form.

You may also add the 'updated on' field to the issues table in the Issues tool, then sort by that field to show the most recently updated issues at the top. Whenever a new comment is added to an issue (or any other data changes are done), the 'updated on' field automatically gets updated -

Basically, we @Mention the specific user this comment is directed to and he will receive an email notification (instantly , hourly or daily) based on notifications settings.
