Shared Link to a PDF File creates a Zip file

When we create a shared link to an external user, a link to a single multi-page PDF prompts the users to download a ZIP file.  This seems to be a new change and we are getting a lot of negative feedback, particularly if a user is trying to access the PDF on a phone or mobile device.

Is this a recent change?  Is there a way to have the PDF file downloaded (instead of a ZIP file)?

Hi,

Yes when using Files the documents will come to the recipient in a zip file. This is different for sharing sheets, they will come in as pdf, because techy are all essentially individual files as opposed to multipage pdf's within Files.

Can you elaborate on the feedback from non-members?
