How to lock fields in issue types in a project template?

Hi all,

So I have an ACC template, but every time I create a new project, I have to check the boxes (see picture) for the mandatory issue fields. This is very inconvenient to do 20+ times for every new project.

Is there a way these checkboxes can be managed through the template as well?

Hi,

Yes in Project templates you have the ability to manage this aspect of issues. You cannot make them required at this time in the Project Templates but you can manage visibilities as well as order and any custom fields. Additionally if your project set-up is the same for each project you can use that (any project) to create a project template.

Thank you for the reply!

My question was: can I make them required.

So, if I understand your comment correctly; you can only controle visibility states in the template and NOT make them required?

Hope to hear from you. 🙂

Hi @lance.borst

It would be great if you can confirm if you can only controle visibility states in the template and NOT make them required for @nicoletta_aleksic ?

Hi @handjonathon & @nicoletta_aleksic,
Currently within Project Templates you can only control the visibilities of fields within issues, and you cannot control whether a field is required at the template level this can only be set at the project level.

Hi! Yes! As I suspected. It is not possible.

The answer given was the answer to my question.

I'm hoping in a future ACC update this will be made possible! 😉
