How can I capture the XYZ coordinates of an issue?

Hello, I am working with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) API and I need to capture the XYZ coordinates of the created issues.

Could someone provide guidance on how to capture the XYZ coordinates of the issues when creating them in ACC? Is there a specific method in the API to get this information?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @nuricWZYJD

Unfortunately, there currently isn't a direct method within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) API to capture the XYZ coordinates of issues during creation.

However, there are a couple of alternative approaches you can consider:

  1. User Input: If your workflow allows, you could prompt the user creating the issue to manually input the XYZ coordinates along with the issue description. This can be achieved through your custom application that interacts with the ACC API.

  2. Model Integration: If the issues are related to specific elements within a Revit model uploaded to ACC, you might be able to leverage the model data. While the ACC API itself might not provide direct access to element coordinates, exploring the specific Revit API used to create the model could be an option. This would involve integrating the BIM software's API with your application to retrieve the element data and then link it to the corresponding issue in ACC.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thank you.
