Content Catalog Data Missing

I am having a major issue with the content catalog. Last week, I placed several families and details into content catalog collections. This week, when I log into the cloud, I can see all of the collections, but they are empty.  No families or details are to be found.

Attempting to resolve the issue, I unsuccessfully used the following workflow. I use Google Chrome web browser.

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Library-items-are-...

Has anyone encountered and resolved this issue?

A side note: I had to set up a call with Autodesk last week about issues I had editing the basic permissions for the catalog, and they informed me that the problem I encountered was due to a bug. This is disheartening because I planned to implement this tool across my organization for the new year, but there are still several issues that need to be worked out on Autodesk's side before I feel comfortable rolling it out. The product does not work as advertised in its current state.

After adequately clearing the cache, I can now access the data I placed on the cloud. The method I used in Google Chrome was to click the three dots at the top right, then click "Delete browsing data," and then delete the cached items and files. The method used in the link above did not work for me after multiple attempts; I must have improperly followed the workflow.  Before doing so, I could access the data using an alternate browser.

Solved.

We were having this issue as well. I found logging out and logging back in solved this problem without having to jump through the hoops of clearing the cache.

Having the same issues. 40 users and I swear 40 different issues. Here are just a few of the issues I’ve been dealing with;

1. Some users are fine, everything appears fine

2. Some users get the big magnifying glass showing no content

3. Some users are seeing all the saved searches and no content

4. Some users are seeing the saved searches and some content

5. Some users are seeing some of the saved searches and some of the content

6. One user can see the saved searches and the content but the insert is greyed out

7. Today was my favorite, users are seeing the saved searches, and the content. When the insert the content it’s an old family. Not one that is a day old, but a week old. However, on my computer it inserts the current content.

The solution of clearing the cache works ‘most’ of the time. However, even if this solution worked every time, some of my users are ‘difficult’ to work with and will complain about the software every chance they get.

Autodesk, this is unacceptable.  The number of people with the same issues tells me one thing, this software was released too early. I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe these issues were not discovered during beta testing. If they weren’t then you didn’t do proper beta testing. If they were, then someone made the decision to release a broken software.

When my company pays over $80K for software, and the cost went up significantly again, I expect the computer to actually work without significant issues. I understand software has bugs, but I would expect 6 months is more than enough time to fix it

Having the same issue. It popped up a month ago, the steps above worked. This time I can't get the missing/Empty collections to reappear.

This is what I did, let me know if I'm missing something:

  • Cleared browser cache
  • signed out of All Autodesk pages
  • Cleared Browser Cache again
  • Uninstalled Content Catalog
  • Reinstalled Content Catalog

Anything else I could try? Missing a third of my library 😞
