Hi all, this is quite an annoyance for us at work as we're planning on getting a few of these chromebook touchscreen laptops with styluses (Acer Spin 714s). The main reason we'd like to use these is for drawing markups, and whilst it is possible to take a screenshot and redline drawings in a separate application we would really love to be able to draw lines when viewing sheets on ACC.
I have the ACC app (which seems to be the phone/ipad app??) with no functionality for annotations, issues or anything. The browser version of ACC is excellent, really snappy and can raised issues etc. However, when I try to draw lines/shapes on a drawing, clicking and dragging with the mouse/trackpad works, but using the stylus or touchscreen just pans around the drawing. I've been scratching my head for ages trying to think of a way to invoke the 'click' functionality of the stylus (holding down other buttons whilst drawing etc.) but nothing seems to work.
Is this an issue with the browser, or whatever technology Autodesk are using for their viewer's 'ink'?? If there's any way we could get this added as an option it would make us much more happy and productive!!
