The markups function of ACC is not fit for purpose.
If I create a V1 markup, and someone actions it, and uploads a new version V2, I can still see the V1 markup on the V2 version.
Then further down the line, the project changes again, and a new markup is created on V2, when I open the sheet I can see the V1 markup and the new V2 markup.
This is beyond stupid, we need a way to show only the latest version, if I markup V2 of a file, it should only be shown on V2, not on V3, V4, V5, v6.....
Please fix this .
its not an idea though, its a statement.
I can see no way anyone would want to see all the markups history of a sheet on the latest version, its should be constrained to the sheet version it was created on.
Image if you had a paper copy of a sheet, and an engineer marked up their comments on it, you actioned the comments, would you give him a new sheet with his and previous comments overlaid on top? if you did that at my company you wouldn't last long. So why should a digital version be any different?
Seeing as the IDEAS forum is where new features and fixes are requested, that's where it should be. If you want a solution that doesn't require a programming change, this is the correct forum.
I'm not expecting a fix or suggesting one, Autodesk has a long history of ignoring its customers ideas and requests, I'm not expecting this to be any different.

So why even bother posting in a user support forum?
Have you considered writing a blog?
I agree with the OP that Markups need improving. I'm providing the below link to help.
@handjonathan Can you please move the below Idea from the BIM 360 Idea forum into the ACC Idea forum for better visibility. Thank you.
Just report your own post and ask for it to be moved. No need to hijack someone else's thread with an unrelated personal request.
@Chad-Smith requested the idea to be moved.

Our group uses this "bug" as a feature. Project members go back to previously reviewed/marked up files, when we receive new revisions, to confirm if the mark up has been addressed or not. If it has, the mark up then becomes archived.
