Review the in-product help link HERE to see how to invite members into your hub or a project within your hub.

Review the in-product help link HERE to understand Member Roles and Permission levels within a hub.

IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE INVITING MEMBERS, CHECK THE BELOW LIST OF ITEMS THAT WE'VE SEEN CAUSE INVITES TO FAIL.

Here are a few common issues that can restrict invites from working, please let me know if any of these are the issue you're seeing.

  • Firewalls will block invites, see proxy settings recommended for A360 HERE.
  • The email address used to invite members has to be exact match to their accounts.autodesk.com Account ID.

  • The Project IS NOT set to allow Project Contributors, see below.

  • If inviting member from Project, try to invite the user into the HUB first from your Admin Invite page first, and then into the specific Project after.

  • If you have set your Team Member Invite Mode to Admin Invite Only, you will have to invite members into the hub first by accessing the Admin > Members & Roles page shown above.
  • Only after that can the members be added to projects.

Thank you Brett,

In the past, following the previous methods of inviting external users we always ran into problems.  Either the users could not complete the process in a easy manner, or if they did, they experiences access problems at the project level.  Users could access the projects they were invited to, but received errors when accessing project files.

These issues have prevented me from renewing.  With these latest changes has the process been simplified?

We are a small firm, our clients range from high tech connoisseurs to retired couples, the invite/sign-up process needs to be simple and smooth for them for us to be able to take advantage of the service to its full potential.

Thank you

Shad

Hi Shad,

Yes i do believe that the process has gotten easier because now we know where the roadblocks are (shown above) and can help our users know that going in prior to inviting their members while we work from our end to mitigate the issue all together.

Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

Thanks,

Hey Brett,

How might a regular team member go about inviting others to the hub given that the 'no admin approval required' option is in place?

Thanks,

Grant
