I get an error when uploading a "Composite" type folder.

I am getting this same error when trying to upload a "Composite" type folder.  I went thru the tutorial and selected my main assembly but when I click "Upload" I get the attached screenshot.

Does this error occur for multiple problems?

Hi Bill,

I split your message out to a new message as the original question was about DXF files.

You mention Composite upload, can you tell us what type of files you are trying to upload to A360? For example, are the Inventor files and if so what type of files and what version of the desktop product.

Thanks for getting us more details.

Did you also select to upload any associated links or parts?  It sounds like Inventor, which I have not used much, but I know with AutoCAD and Revit Xrefs or links that you have to upload all the links as well at the same time and then select the Parent File.

Many thanks to all who took a look at this error code for me.  Good news, we found our own answer after multiple tries.

The Composite Design does not handle extraneous files very well.  If you do a Pack n’ Go, like I did, you may end up with some extra files (like .ipj, .old) that cause hiccups in the upload process.  If you select only .ipt and .iam parts it seems to work fine.  I hope that helps other folks....Bill

We got it now...The Composite Design does not handle extraneous files very well. If you do a Pack n’ Go, like I did, you may end up with some extra files (like .ipj, .old) that cause hiccups in the upload process. If you select only .ipt and .iam parts it seems to work fine.

HI Bill,

Thanks for the update on what was causing the problem.   Also would you  mind sharing the Pack n Go file with me?   I would like to share it with the team to see if we can try to fix this in the future.  Can you put the zip file in a folder of it's own.  Then do a public share of that file andsend me the link.  You can send it to my eMAIL addres using my first name "." last name "@" autodesk.com.   first.last@autodesk.com.  Just swap out first.last@autodesk.com with my actual first and last name.

PUBLIC SHARE ZIP.jpg

Thanks again for sharing with us what you found to be the issue.   Also when you eMAIL me, let me know what version of Inventor you are using to create the Composit upload.
