DWG Viewing for Website

Does Autodesk offer any support for DWG on website? We simply want to embed only the viewing part of A360Viewer where we want to load our .DWG files from our cloud servers. Without using A360 Viewer Online servers.

I am not aware of any embedded code that could do that, though I believe it should be possible and would think this should go to the Idea Station if no one else knows of a way to do so.

hi there,

As long as you're not "selling" goods or services with the viewer i believe it's ok to use the viewer in your website if it's just showcasing the work that you've done as a dwg that is loaded into your Team hub.

If you were wanting to sell something with the viewer, then you'd want to submit your request to the FORGE.AUTODESK.COM team.

Let  me know if this isn't what you're asking about. 🙂

Thanks,

Thanks for your replies, the problem with the A360Viewer is that we want to load dwg files from our server. But as far as i know, the solution A360Viewer provides is a widget to upload the dwg file and redirect a view to autodesk servers. We have our dwg files on our server. What we want to achieve is when a user enters our website they can view any one of those dwg files. Choose which layer to view, zoom in, zoom out etc. Basically the 'viewing' part of A360Viewer.

 Hi,

Yes you're correct. If you decide to use the BIM 360 Team product that includes the viewer, then yes, you'd have to upload those files into your BIM 360 Team hub, and then view them from there.

For you wanting to use the viewer for files on your own server, you'd want to ask that question to see if that is possible via the Forge team, at forge.autodesk.com.

Thanks,
