hi Doug, sorry for the issue's you're seeing here.

1. Is the issue with all dwg files, or just one ?

2. did you try and re upload the file to see if a second attempt worked differently?

3. Are there any protection or restrictions enabled (i.e. password or print/edit) on the file, that would prevent translation?

If nothing works above, feel free to share the file with us for testing by sending a private message to me here in the forums with public downloadable links and we'll pull them from there.

Let me know,

Thanks,

Hi Doug,

Thanks in advance for sharing these files with Brett.  I have been looking into this on our side and noticed that you only shared the parent DWG file. Can you go back into AutoCAD an create an eTransmit of the file so that we get all the reference files?   Once you have that, can you upload it and create a public download and share the link with me.  You can share it in a private message here in the forum, or directly to my eMAIL.  Send it to first.last@autodesk.com, just swap out first.last with my actual first and last name.

Thanks in advance for doing this, it will be very helpful.

Thanks Doug for the update. We are still troubleshooting this, so just to make sure I totally understand. When you uploaded your DWG file, it was a single file upload, not an assembly with all the reference files. No problem if that is the case, it helps rule out one possibility of what may be going on.

Thanks again for letting us know and have a great day.

Hi Doug,

I've not heard back from you, so can you please let me know if you're still having an issue with that same DWG file not translating in the Team viewer?

Thanks,

Hi Doug,

Thanks for letting me know,

  • Can you let us know the version of AutoCAD this file was created in so that we can follow your steps here?
  • We just released the 2018 AutoCAD a month back, so we need to make sure that this isn't related to that if possible.

  • In the mean time, to get you moving forward while we dive into this (which might take a while), can you use the Save as DWF (which will translate, we've tested), as  your option to save that specific file into your Team hub so that others can view it as well?
  • Also, if others need to be able to download the dwg, the file is intact and they can still download it from your Team project as needed.
  • Last thing, let us know if you have other files that reproduce that same error.
Thanks,

Thanks but to be honest I don't have the time - all is good cause the files since then opened just fine

Thanks,

Doug

ok thanks Doug, just let us know if you see this issue pop up again.

Just to clarify, you're saying that all the files but that one (that is still causing trouble), have opened ok since, right?

Thanks,
