Can't upload large Composite files to A360

Hi, I have been trying to upload the Vimek630 demo set, from the Whats New Inventor 2014 demo sets, to my A360 account as a Composite design so that I can show a complex assembly model in A360. I have tried a dozen times now with two different networks and also both Wireless and wired connections. It gets right up to the last part and then just won't finish uploading, then the page crashes and the upload fails. The model isn't that big it's about 330mb in total.

I am using google chrome with moderately good internet (it's slow but consistent about 11mb download/0.5mb upload/27ms ping. I have left this model a full 48 hours trying to upload this model but it still hasn't gone up, any recommendations with trying to upload? Is this a known issue with uploading composite designs? I managed to upload a Zip file containing all of the model data so I was able to get a file of comparible size uploaded so I can only assume it is to do with the compositing side of things.

Hi Brett,

Don't worry I managed to get it to upload!

Okay so what I did was to open the Vimek630.iam  > Save As Pack and Go to a folder on the desktop seperate to the current project location > Then upload the desktop PAck and Go folder as a Composite design.

Many Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Hey, when you did that Pack n Go on the last attempt, what options did you select i.e. skip certain files, or save all to a single folder etc. so that we can run the same test on our end?

Please let me know,

Thanks,

Hi Brett,

Those are the settings that I used for the Pack and Go. After this I succesfully managed to upload the model. I created a new folder on the desktop (seperate to the folder the model was presently held in) to be the destination folder to save the Pack and go. This was the only way I was able to get it to uplaod as simply selecting the original folder in the select folders option through the browser for uploading didn't work at all for me.

Kind regards,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your time in getting back to us with every piece of detail. I did try the same and see that when I extract the zip into a folder of my chioce, then upload worked well. But yes, when I did save the extract in the suggested default folder i.e downloads, then the upload didn't work  I have informed my team on the same. Thanks for all your help and I will keep you posted once we have a resolution.

Thanks,
