I agree. I'm using (sub)folders to share it with some of the design team. I have now to much folders at the home page, i don't think that this is the right way to use A360.
Agreed- would kick some butt for A360 drive if it could manage sync for select folders in different lcoations locally.
For instance- Having revit TXT files (Keynotes, etc.) stored and sync'd to a PROJECT folder on A360 drive. Then other users invidted to share (R/W/E/D) could point the share file to point to folders in their local drives from anywhere in the world.
Looking at using this in conjunction with C4R and supplemental heading towards Alexandria.
ADDED FEATURE file locking when another user is editing (not reading) the file would hlep as well.
ADDED FEATURE of specifying which users have R/W/E/D access would be huge.
ADDED FEATURE Enterprise sync- to coordinate all nodes user server side and coordinate through a LOCAL repository to limit ENTERPRISE bandiwdth incoming and outgoing (Local Proxy Server?)
Thanks for posting this to the Idea board, we really appreciate you taking time out to do this. We will change this to "Under Review". Others will also be able to add comments and vote for this to see if it's something that others are interested in.
Yes, it is unfortunate that subfolder sharing is not possible with A360 Drive. It makes the service very cumbersome to use on any kind of a real project with multiple collaborators, all of which need differing access permissions to different subfolders.
