changing button image on custome ribbon panel

I have my custom tab and panel created and working on my ribbon. I'd like to change the button image. I go through the cui, ribbon, panel, and the button image location. When I chose the preloaded Icon I would like to use for my button, apply the change...nothing happens. Any ideas?

The current image is RCDATA_16_DIST, I would like to change it to RCDATA_16_PUBLISH_DWF.

Thank you in advance for any help.

I'm not sure about ribbons, but you might try to temporarily rename the MyMenu.MNR file

and let AutoCAD rebuild this file.

The MNR file stores all images, and other display settings, and has always been fussy...
