Since in the half dozen other posts about this topic there didn't seem to be complete picture so here it is:
For Vault Professional 2012 on Windows 7:
Then you need to copy both the ViewStyles.xml & GridState.xml
If you only copy the ViewStyles.xml then the custom view name appears in the list but the configuration is wrong. I didn’t try just copying Gridstate
I have customized Vault for columns as per above post. Then I copied and pasted Viewstyle and Gridstate files to other systems at location as shown in above post and it is working fine but result is temporary i.e. if anybody reset columns all columns disappeard.
1. How can permanentaly set columns? i.e. it should not change with reset.
2. Is it possible to place above to files in setup, so that whenever I install Vault default columns should appear.
3. Is there any method so that we can group different columns and choose that group as per requirement.
