Hello.
I am facing a severe issue .
I am using Autodesk PDSU 2013 with vault professional.
When i am trying to open an inventor file from vault through VPN the software is getting crashed.
Can somebody give a solution for this.
Mathew
One of my co-workers are having a similar issue. Any fix found yet?
Hi
I am having the exact same issue - Inventor/Vault Basic 2018
Any fixes to suggest?
Best Regards
Morten
There could be many possibilities since it is over a VPN. Here are a few questions that pop into my head.
What VPN Client are you using?
Did it work before over the VPN?
Did you recently receive an update on your OS (Windows), Anti Virus client or the VPN Client?
When you connect to the VPN is it from the same location every time? Have you logged on from other locations?
Are you having any issues logging into Vault with the Inventor Add In?
Do you know if your IT dept throttles your bandwidth on the VPN?
When not on the VPN and in the office do you have any issues getting drawings?
I have an update on the way the issue played out here.
It was simply just a matter of having three monitors working at work and only one or two at home via vpn. Dialog boxes were floating outside the monitors on the 'missing' monitors.
alt+space+m to activate the move command in the dialog box and then one hit on and arrow key and then drag your mouse and the box were coming along back into view.
But it seemed like a freeze or crash
Sometimes it's the obvious that's hard too see.
Cheers
Morten
Hello Morten,
Have you seen the CER dialog to send the report to us when Vault got crashed? Can you send the CER report with your email address so that we can take a look at the issue? Thanks!
Hi Rachel
Thanks - yes I know about the CER, I will do that, if it shows that my description above, is not the solution.
Best regards
Morten
