Can't get latest "project file version"

I just re-installed the OS and all the other fun software on my primary office workstation. I have been using the laptop for about 2 months due to some install problems on the other machine.
I have a new file and folder structure established on the laptop (and vault).
I logged into the vault on the workstation, and mapped the working folder, BUT when I try to "get the latest version" of the ipj file (project) from inside inventor that option is greyed out. If I log into the vault from Vault explorer, and "get lastest version" it does not bring in my frequent folders, AND when I open Inventor and log in, I have a red dot on the .ipj file.

I'm sure it is pretty simple, but some things just don't make any sense at this point (and it's only Tuesday!)

Thanks

Oh BTW...IV R10, SP1
Vault 4.0 SP2 on server 2003

Brain...1966 version and could use a good Caribean service pack.
