I've attached a test model generated from the api. When the beams were created, they were nominated to join nodes 600 and 601, and 602 and 603. You can see after creating the finite elements, the beams are joining nodes 1 and 13 and similar for the other member. I can't even manually fix it, the beam seems to be a finite element.
