Weld Symbols

Why does the leader attach to the weld symbol in the wrong place? How can I fix it so the leader attaches at the center of the all around circle?

I believe you could copy the family and modify it. I took one look at it in
the family editor and decided to wait until enough users complain about it
and the Revit team changes it to a standard symbol. It is weird looking. I
would also like to see it scaled down similar to how default text in beam
tags is scaled down from ordinary default text.

where can i get these weld symbols?

They are in the annotation symbol family. You can pull down the drafting
menu and select symbol. Then pick one of he welding options from the symbol
lists.

FYI: the weld symbol discussion has happened on Augi at least three times that I know of. It is very hard to edit the family. It would be really nice to see it changed in the basic package. I do have a fairly decent symbol that someone created on AUGI if you would like it. It is still large and I've tried everything to scale it down and get it to work properly but have had no luck.

The issue with the weld symbol leader has been resolved in RST 2008.
