What version of Revit?
What flavor of vista?
Did you just upgrade to Vista? Is this a new installation of Revit? Has Revit ever worked on this computer? If so, exactly when did it stop working?

Exactly what is happening- are you getting errors from Windows, or Revit?

More information would be helpful in trying to figure out an answer to your question.

Revit Building 9.1/ Revit Structure 4 is not officially supported on Vista.

More information can be found here:

And a discussion of workarounds here:

Essentially, I think the previous advice will probably help you.

Right click, and run as administrator is a good trick to know. I had to do
that to get the free Robobat structural analysis program to work. I had to
do it to get sketchup to work. The funny thing is I have administrator
rights by default on my computer, and I still have to occasionally use the
right click method. Life is a mystery.

hi all, to allow Revit 9.1 or deal in windows vista you must down the windows vista users security, for this go to the control panel, select the user account option, click in user accounts, then turn user account control off, this allow users different of the administrator to use Revit, but allow to do other actions in the system
