Revit Structure model and Google Earth

Anyone know of a program that links Revit Structure models with Google Earth? Everything I've seen works only with Revit Building - no the Structure package.

Thanks for any help.

What programs have you tried? It may be a case of updating whatever you install to point to the Revit Structure directory instead of the Revit Building directory.

there is a plugin for autocad who can do this. I exported Revit to autocad and then to google earth.

It works pretty okay.

I thought there was supposed to be a plugin (from autodesk)who could do it directly out of revit. Just haven't found it yet.

I am not aware of a plug-in that does this directly from Revit.

There is now (for r2009) a Google Earth plugin available directly from Autodesk. It is available for subscription customers only.

To get it: Log into the subscription center. (If you are not the primary contact with Autodesk subscription sales for your company, you may have to ask someone else, such as your CAD manager, to do this.)

On the main Subscription page, you should see, in the center column, a list of "Product Information & Downloads".

Find the link for "Architecture, Engineering, & Construction (AEC): Product Modules and Add-ons"

In the list for Revit 2009 is the "Globe Link" plug in. "Globe Link" is the Google Earth plugin.

Go to Avatech and the download is their to export Google Earth directly out of Revit Structure. I am running RTS 208 and it works great. Takes some practice though.

The Globe Link extension does not seem to be there? Has it been discontinued?

I can still see it. It's under the Architecture section, but it works for me on Structure.

Maybe I am not finding the right place, attached is a screen shot?
Thanks

I see a longer list than that.

Maybe you should contact your Subscription sales person.

So my reseller contacted Autodesk. Globe link is not available to Revit Structure users. I tried Avatech, but it would not install in Revit and is apparently a known problem. They have a readme file that explains a workaround to fix it involving editing the Revit.ini file and the avatech.xml file. I tried this unsuccessfully. I don't know why autodesk does not make Globe Link available to RS users. I asked my reseller to lobby the situation.

I emailed http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=1109794 and within 30 minutes the friendly folks at Autodesk Revit Structure emailed me the globe link exe.
