I have created a number of faced based access doors that add to my ductwork with no problems and display fine in all views. However, when I come to plot the drawings the access doors are missing in the plan views only.
I have attached examples: Layout_Revit showing the access doors and layout_pdf showing a screeshot from the pdf, with access doors missing.
I created the family using a generic model face based template.
Family category and parameters is set to generic models.
I have played around with the visibility/graphic overrides for the view under 'generic models'.
The family is set to 'visible' in the family editor.
Is there a visibility setting I am missing or something else?
I would recategorize the family as a duct accessory. You can create filters and make those doors stand out better in plan view. If the doors swing out, you can create symbolic lines showing the door swinging out or model the door swinging out.
Remember that the generic models might cut differently than duct accessories. That might also be an issue if you're not cutting (cut plane) at the door.
