We are running LT98 and have a DesignJET 750c configured using the HPGL2
driver built into LT. However when we reboot the machine all the HPGL2
devices have dissapeared and been replaced with 2 Generic devices. The only
way to get the 750c back is to reinstall the drivers. The OS is Windows NT4
Service Pack 4.
Any suggestions as this is truely confusing.
Do you also receive an "Error loading APD-file"? If so, it is occurring
because the default 'Start In' directory (in the desktop shortcut) has
changed and the driver can no longer find the associated APD file for
the plotter (contains device specific info). You will see these APD
files for all the HP devices in the AutoCAD LT 98 folder.
Workaround: Copy the file 'DJ750C.APD' from the AutoCAD LT 98 directory
to the 'Start In' directory (specified in the LT 98 desktop shortcut).
