Pick List Field with Search Filter display Issue

Hello,

I have a  grid for my sales quote WS that uses a picklist field (Items and BOMs) and I am using the search filter option.

During the add grid row, when I select an item from the picklist and it is returned from the search filter, the full text of the Item descriptor from the picked item displays in the grid field and extends beyond the field boundaries. This is not an issue until the text of the item descriptor is long. At which point it overhangs into the adjacent field and does not allow you to select that field to enter any values. It will bring back the search filter box as if you reselected the Item field in the grid.

This only happens during adding a grid row.

Attached is a screen shot of the field after selecting an item from the search filter. If I select the QTY field I get the search filter from the Item field and cannot enter a quantity until after I save then edit the row or the qty field directly.

I have delayed submitting this as it only occasionally has effected the entry of information and I had hoped is was just a UI bug from the last update, but it has occurred through the last two system updates. I do not believe this was an issue prior to January of this year.

Hi Julie,

This doesn't seem to be a very common issue and seems to have relatively low impact on users. As you know, we are working on a revamped user interface for PLM and this issue will not exist in this new interface. If this is causing anyone significant issues please contact me and I'll see what we can do.
