I have an issue where a dervived fiels leads to a display width issue. If I create a derived field and point it to the pivot my field works fine in that workspace. The problem is when I decide to change the field definition from derived to a picklist and continue to use it in the workspace.
The first issue is that when data is lost there is a numeric value that is left in it's place in existing items. It seems like the number is a workspace ID. the nest issue is that when I edit that property to set it to a new picklist value the display width while editing is zero. I can still choose the pulldown carrot and successfully choose from the picklist and the new pick will display properly once I save the change.
Thias is not a big issue. It just looks wierd and throws other peopl off when they create anew item and see a display width of zero.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The issue with the picklist display width being close to zero appears to depend on display width value entered for picklist field. In my testing, having a display width of 50 will show incorrect behavior while increasing same value to 150 will get rid of the display problem. Please review screencast recording found at http://screencast.com/t/JmIkSYR4r and let me know if this is the issue you are reporting.
Unfortunately I could not reproduce the first problem but I suspect it is because I am not sure I understand what you mean by when data is lost.
The display width problem is a known defect where filtered picklist width is measured in pixels instead of characters. Please let me know if increasing the width value helps solve this issue.
