Import of Autocad blocks directly from Vault on an Inventor *.dwg drawing.

Import of Autocad blocks directly from Vault on an Inventor *.dwg drawing.

It would be nice that you would be able to insert AutoCAD blocks on a drawing that are controlled within the Vault.

Nowadays when you select "Import block" on a *.dwg drawing in Inventor, it shows a Windows Explorer window, so your AutoCAD blocks need to be on your Vault workspace.

When working with several locations in the world (with replication), revision management is then hard to track cause everybody should re-"Get/Checkout" his/her blocks on his/her workspace when a revision has been made.

In other words, you're never sure when somebody is using the latest revision of a block.
