Why is there not a automatic merge of similar frame members and a really good style for a cut list?
There would be a merging that takes in count that if i drill a hole in a member that are the same lenght as another member they schould be treated as two differnt parts.
SolidWorks lets you control frame members and assign custom properties by dragging solid bodies into folders in the model tree. This is very easy. I have quit using Inventors weldment tool because of the way you are supposed to use the bill of material to control row merge settings. I feel like I’m back working on Dinosaur Desktop when you’re drawing weldments with Inventor.
And please add angular properties to it and do it the a easy way!!
There is a "cutdetail#" property made now. But it it tells me "CUT" when i trimmed to another member with an angle.
Only Miter give me an angle in the "CUTdetail1" property field.
Then the property number is different if you have removed a trim or a miter, he adds a new one. then it will be "CUTdetail2".
I cant made a good cut list wich worked Always the dame way
