Dimensions that suppress with feature suppression

Dimensions that suppress with feature suppression

Part features have had conditional suppression for awhile now. (See attached)

Drawings need to catch up...

If a model feature is set to conditionally suppress, reasonably, related drawing dimensions should also conditionally suppress or allow me to set that to be the case just like part features. Drawings that reflect design intent should do so as the suppression is part of the design intent.

Currently, drawings do not suppress or allow for suppressing of dimensions. It is unfortunate as it leaves a hole in the model/documentation workflow.

Thanks.

Actually, why not carry this a step farther and have all related drawing annotation suppress when the part feature suppresses. Sounds good, but I'm willing to guess that doing so would break a few things in the process. So, while an intriguing suggestion, it may not be a simple one.

This feature is absolutely needed with the introduction of Model States from Inventor 2022 on-wards. Dimensions tied to components within a drawing view should suppress and unsuppress according to the suppression state of the component that they're attached to.

At present time, Dimensions simply orphan if they're still half attached to an active component, or outright delete themselves if they're attached to a suppressed component entirely.
