I have been having issues with the pan tool not actually panning. It shows up (I tried both the middle mouse button and the tool itself on the right), but it wont move. At the moment I have to restart inventor. It generally only happens when dimensioning drawings. I am using a wired mouse.
Any solutions? Still have the same problem. Its not my mouse, I now have a new one. I also cannot use the pan tool at all. Although, it still allows me to zoom in/out with the middle button, and it only really happens after dimensioning on drawings.
At the moment I have to close inventor 2013 and re-open to get it to work.
I was not able to reproduce your problem. Can you please record some screen capture to demonstrate this issue?
Do you have a 3DConnexion device (Space Navigator or similar)?
If so, have you gone into the 3DConnexion Control Panel and clicked Calibrate lately?
If it isn't calibrated it can cause problems.
Sure. I shall record next time this happens and let you know. It hasn't happened since I posted this, but it was a common occurance.
Also, I am currently using a Razer Orochi 2013, on both wired and bluetooth. My earlier mouse was a microsoft wired mouse. As I have mentioned though, the pan tool on the right (Using the left mouse button to pan) wouldn't work either.
I used to have a Razor mouse years ago - don't they have a control panel like a Logitech where you can tweak/change each button's function?
Just check what it has set for the middle mouse button - I know Logitech used to have problems as the default was something like "generic button" which got fixed after setting it to "mouse 3" or "middle button"
also check there's no mouse profiles set - some fancy mice (usually gaming ones) can change their buttons depending what software they detect is running. Think it's usually called "game detection" or "profiles" - just make sure everything like that is turned off - just in case it's changing the mouse functions behind the scenes mid Inventor use.
